LYNXSNARL -- WINDCLAN

PERSONALITY:
Lynxsnarl is a generally social guy. He has no problem talking to others and giving them his full opinion, even if they don't particularly want to hear it. Being honest with himself and others is something Lynxsnarl prides himself on. You see, his often heard saying is 'If you're not honest to yourself, then you can't be honest to others. And if you aren't honest to others, you can't be called a warrior, much less a cat!' This is something he believes in whole-heartedly. If you lie to others, it just makes for bad relations.
Another thing about Lynxsnarl is that he's hard to anger. Although his name and appearance suggest otherwise, he's a rather gentle guy with a love for healing others. It's not often that he stops teasing and joking with his Clanmates. WindClan is precious to him, ever cat within the group like his very own kits. He makes sure to love them all equally and try to help them when and how he can.
Being one of the oldest cats in his Clan, Lynxsnarl has become somewhat of a grandfatherly figure for others. He often gives wise advise and listens intently to another's problems without judging them. Past mistakes have made him accepting of many things and he's quite open-minded toward homosexuals and the like.
Despite usually being a gentle tom, Lynxsnarl is very aggressive when angered. If someone is bullying another, he will step in and isn't afraid to give them a taste of their own medicine. Also, if anyone speaks negatively of StarClan, he tends to get rather sharp-tongued. The same goes for his Clan. If either of these two groups are insulted, it's like insulting Lynxsnarl himself and he will not tolerate one bit of it.
Being a medicine cat and all, Lynxsnarl hates seeing others hurt, no matter how they've wronged him in the past. He forgets everything about a cat once they're injured. They become like an innocent kitten who's been beaten. This is when he dotes on others most, becoming his gentlest. No matter if it's a rogue, killer, enemy or something worse, Lynxsnarl will never refuse to treat a hurt cat. His compassion is too strong for them.
Something that often annoys cats around him is that Lynxsnarl is very talkative. It could be a chat about making dirt and he'll find a way to ramble on and on about it until he either realizes he's talking too much or someone tells him to stop. This mostly happens while he's doing work like patching someone up or sorting herbs.
HISTORY:
As a kitten, Lynxkit and his siblings, Tigerkit and Leafkit would often play fight and act out border skirmishes. They all wanted to be the best at battle moves, but the larger Lynxkit always out-weighed them and came out the winner. Jealous, the two smaller toms would gang up on him and give him scratches with their tiny claws. Of course their mother, Moortail would scold them, but it didn't stop their attacks on the larger tom-kit. Lynxkit never held a grudge over it though. He liked his siblings beating him since it made them happy. One day though, they went too far and called him a rotten Dark Forest cat. This set Lynxkit of into a fit of rage, clawing and wrestling his smaller littermates with vicious roaring snarls.
Having injured Tigerkit and Leafkit fairly well, he was punished with being named an apprentice late. Once his siblings had healed, they left him alone, fearful of Lynxkit's explosive anger. When he tried to apologize, truly saddened and regretful for what he'd done, they would shy from him.
Once they were named apprentices and Lynxkit was not, they seemed to gain their confidence back, but instead of attacking him and being cruel, they boldly approached him, asking for a truce which Lynxkit happily agreed to. They grew closer once he was named Lynxpaw and did most everything together. This triggered a strong love for not only his kin, but his Clan. It was then he began to really do his best in training, his mentor impressed with his battle skill. The fact that he instinctively snarled every time fighting was involved amused most who witnessed it. They found the odd habit amusing and Lynxpaw was often teased for it. It embarrassed him, but he knew it was good-nurtured so he laughed along.
Lynxpaw was named Lynsnarl along with his brother, Tigerfang and Leafchaser. They were a dynamic trio and still did mostly everything together. That all changed when Lynxsnarl was on a walk near the twoleg borders. There, he met a she-cat named Calla. She was the most gorgeous she-cat he'd ever met. With a bold and imposing nature, she was perfect to Lynxsnarl. Soon, he found himself falling in love and visiting her every day.
They decided to mate just once before Calla's housefolk moved the next moon and ended up having two kits. Devastated by her leaving his life, Lynxsnarl went to StarClan for guidance. This lead him to realize he wanted to be a medicine cat. So, he spoke with his leader and the medicine cat at the time, Oakleaf. Since she had no apprentice at the time, his request was accepted.
Throwing himself into his work, Lynxsnarl slowly fell in love with his life and Clan all over again, nearly forgetting Calla. He was proud when Oakleaf stepped down to let him take over as medicine cat and heal the Clan solo. He's done well for these long seasons since, but now he's ready for an apprentice to help him and chatter with. It's lonely sleeping alone in his den at night.
REASON FOR NAME:
LYNX: he looks similar to a lynx.
SNARL: when fighting, he snarls a lot and it's more like a loud roar.
