PERSONALITY:gentle.decisive.dependable.diligent.prudent.understandingmay result in picking a bad choice, so she's taught herself to stay calm in every situation, as a medicine cat should.
Scarletleaf, by nature, is a very gentle cat. This is definitely helpful since she's a medicine cat. When treating injuries, she makes sure to be as careful as possible to cause as little pain as she possibly can. However, she understands that she must do all the can, even in cases that it was hurt the patient for a moment. Even outside of her duties, she is gentle. She can comfort any cat, each in the way that they need to be. Yet, she doesn't sugarcoat things. She will tell you the truth and continue on to give you advice.
Many cats have a hard time making up their minds, but not this ginger she cat. Through moons of practice as a medicine cat she learned that decisions need to be made fast, yet not recklessly. She can quickly come up with and view all options, then pick the best one. Part of this ability is understanding to make the best choice in the least amount of time. Picking a choice while panicked
She is also very dependable. If you ask her to do something, she will make sure to get it done. After she finished her current task, of course. Sometimes she will take on more than she can handle, simply because she wants to do what she's needed for. In these cases she can become very stressed. She is learning not to take on too much, but sometimes she does without knowing. However, she always gets her work done. If any cat ever needs her, she likes to be there for them, even if it's just to lend an ear.
When given a task, Scarletleaf will make sure to fully understand it before beginning. She likes to view all side of a situation before making a decision. Especially important one. You may not notice though, because of how quick she thinks. When she starts a task, she likes to work through it without stopping. She won't stop until she's done the absolute best she can. In the sense of patients, this is a very good thing, since they deserve undivided attention. Along with this, she likes to do everything to the best of her abilities, and won't stop obsessing over something until she does.
As well as seeing all of the possible actions of a situation or task, Scarletleaf also picks out the consequences. Being raised as a medicine cat, she always likes to do what is right. When she chooses what to do for something, she will stick to it no matter what others may say, even if the consequence goes against her. When others come to her for advice, she will always advise them to do what she things is best.
Coming from her ability to see from multiple perspectives, Scarletleaf can understand and sympathize with cats very well. She can put herself in their shoes to give them advice. Because of this, she is looked at as the Clan counselor as well as medicine cat. Warriors and apprentices often come to her with their problems. They trust her with their secrets, because everyone knows she won't tell a soul. Giving her clan mates advice is one of her favorite things to do. She loves pointing them in the right direction, and feeling like she's helped in their life.
HISTORY:I was born to the most beautiful cat in Riverclan. Her name was Kestrelwing. My fathers name was Brackenclaw. I guess they met when they were apprentices. I'm not quite sure of the whole story. All I know is that they had us when she was young. Very young. Not much longer after they became warriors.
Kestrelwing gave birth to three kits. Me, of course, then Juniperkit and finally Aspenkit. I was the only girl. Me and my brothers were very close. Unlike most leaders, none of us really led. We liked to all decide on things together. When we were around 3 moons old, we decided to venture into the medicine cats den. The current medicine cat, Thistleberry, was very friendly and showed us around. Of course, we were all very excited.
Since then, I always visited his den. Sometimes I would march right in, other times, I would hide around. I found all the herbs very interesting. Honestly, I wasn't too into fighting. I was a great stalker, or so some of the warriors said. They always looked surprised at how well I did while trying out moves the apprentices showed me. I was often told I would be the best hunter in Riverclan. However, I wasn't looking forward to the fighting aspect.
Around the time I was to be made an apprentice, Thistleberry noticed how I was always around his den, and asked me to be his apprentice. I mean, I thought I was being sneaky. I guess he noticed more than I'd thought. But that'd beside the point. Once I accepted, I told everyone. I was beyond excited.
In what felt like only a half moon, we were made into apprentices. Scarletpaw, Juniperpaw, and Aspenpaw. Our parents were so proud of us. I stood tall as I touched noses with Thistleberry. Nothing exciting really happened during my apprentice ship. My brothers were made warriors before I was. That was expected though. With time, however, I was made a full medicine cat!
I think Thistleberry knew when he was going to pass. Just a moon after I was made the new Medicine cat, he died from old age. I was very sad. Medicine cats get a special bond. Since there's only a single mentor and apprentice, it's more personal. Even though I was grieving, I sucked it up, so that I could take care of my clan.
REASON FOR NAME:
SCARLET: Her ginger fur.
LEAF: Her fur matches the scarlet color the leaves turn in leaf fall.
