SILENTSTAR(STONE) -- RIVERCLAN

PERSONALITY:
Silentstar is a quiet guy. This is not by choice, but even if he could talk, he'd chose not to. Silence is interesting to him. It makes him different from just any cats and forces him to learn how to communicate with others.
Learning is something Silentstar loves dearly. He's always wanting to see what's around the next corner and how to deal with it. This makes him quite adventurous. Most of the time, he'll be found hunting and on patrols about instead of at camp. Although, he does enjoy the Camp as well, it's entertaining to see all the different colored types of prey and figure a way to trick them to your claws. It surprises his Clanmates he catches so much when his hunting is based on purely trickery and manipulation. Silentstar purposely scares his prey away just to run them into a trap he's made.
Along with his love for learning comes an extremely absorbent mind. Silentstar learns quickly and precisely, often doing things until he gets them right before he does anything else. This also allows him the will-power to teach himself things as well. Silenstar has taught numerous things to himself and his Clan; such as how to speak to him without the use of words, the art of hunting traps, and fighting/hunting formations. This has gained him the reputation as the mute scholar among his peers and the other Clans as well. Because he is so intelligent, he is not worried about when he is gone for a hunting trip for a while. They know he'll come back laiden with prey and ready to take care of any problems within RiverClan.
Although Silentstar may seem quite perfect, he's not. With intelligence comes the price of a ruined innocence. He is incapable of not noticing things that naive cats do not. No, he's far too observant and has ruined his own naivety. For such a young tom to be so curious is something like a curse. It tends to ruin all childish dreams and replace them with harsh logic. It has made Silentstar grow up fast and this saddens him.
Because Silentstar has lived being complimented for his brains, he has grown to have an ego. It isn't too nauseating, he just becomes hostile if he feels his intellect is questioned. It's not often that the tom doubts himself, so he believes others should believe in him unwaveringly as well. If they do not, Silentstar becomes upset and tries to push his thinking onto them. This has pushed several of his Clanmates away, so he tends to stand alone from the rest and stick with those who agree with his theories and such.
HISTORY:
Silentstar was born to two strong, serious hunters of RiverClan. They fully expected their kits to lead patrols and rule the Clan one day with no defects of any sort. It was a sore disappointment when their first-born son ended up reckless and rebellious, even as a kitten. Their youngest kitten of the same litter was different disappointment wise. Silentkit never uttered a sound after birth, only a small cough to open up his lungs.
This did worry his parents. He was the perfect child for them aside from his mute problem. They soon tried to force his voice out, but Silentkit just couldn't. When he tried to his or purr, nothing would come out. Frustrated, his parents gave up and started to train him despite his silence.
When Silentpaw was given to a wicked hunter with an enormous ego, he seemed to absorb the she-cat's ways some and began to grow a bit egotistical. If any refused his plans, he'd simply unsheathe his claws as a threat to make them watch his examples. This forced every cat to witness his intelligence. Later on as an apprentice, he was tired of being silent and unable to communicate with others when on patrols or even in camp! So, he began to form his own language out of signals such as a swipe of the paw or flick of the tail as well as facial expressions. His brother, Loudpaw helped decode it for the others and it was soon a habit for RiverClanners to sometimes lapse into signals during patrols.
Named Silentstone, the tom had become popular and revered for his talents. Although he had an ego, it went unnoticed unless a cat disobeyed his commands. This was uncommon though since his intelligence and inventions for RiverClan had demanded him well-deserved superiority and respect.
Soon enough, RiverClan's deputy, Splashspot died of old age, leaving the young Pebblestar clueless as to how to lead the Clan. Overwhelmed, she appointed Silentstone deputy only to step down a few moons later because of stress.
And so, Silentstone was dubbed Silentstar. Loudstorm, his brother was wildly jealous, but supported his brother good-naturedly. Loudstorm still supports his brother loyally, loving him with the love he'd never quite been shown as a young cat.
REASON FOR NAME:
SILENT: He is mute.
STONE: His blue/gray points.
